The exhibition ‘Wie tekent ziet meer’ = ‘One who is drawing is able to see more’
. Travel drawings, made by architects also contains drawings, done by Wolf Schijns, who was not only a PhD researcher of our president, but also an assistant professor at his chair at the Eindhoven University of Technology. Schijns’ drawings are dealing mainly with his research on Vernacular Architecture in Mali, Africa.

The exposed oeuvre of Peter Schmid includes

Original travel sketches from seven European countries;

Two glass cupboards with illustrated books (on sustainable architecture) Peace Garden projects, three-dimensional (model) sketches, and drawing tools;

A digital projection of more travel sketches from all continents (28 countries);

A digital projection of miscellaneous drawings and sketches, such as design sketches for sustainable building technology and architecture, presentation drawings and ‘old’ overhead sheets, season greetings (since 1961), common groups drawings, abstract, or concrete sketches after dreams and meditation, and three-dimensional (model) sketches as well;

Another digital projection – actually gives an overview about the whole show together with some biographical information, and the explanation of the specially developed pictograms on the types of drawn motives and applied drawing techniques.

The digital projections (also on DVD) are made by Gabriella Pal-Schmid.
